Sorry for not writing last week, it was a hard week of running and working!!! The runs are getting longer now and my legs are feeling the pain!!! I did some hill training this morning which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, especially after my spinning class last night!!! I am starting to get massive drink envy!!! I went out Friday and Saturday night and then spent the day in the pub on Sunday!!! I am running out of soft drink options!!! Saturday night was funny, watching everyone getting tipsy. The smiling increases the more people drink I have noticed. My friend was so funny, she was trying not to get drunk by having a glass of water in between each glass of wine, it helped a little bit but she was on her merry way even with the water!!! She suffers from the same lightweight diesease as me!!! Must do some work now...

So I got through my busy week of socializing and managed do all my runs. Although I have eaten a lot of bad food this week which isn't good!!! Today is a rest day, sooooooooooo nice. It means I get to sleep in till 7am instead of the normal 6am start, although the boy had to wake up at 5.30am this morning, how rude of him to disturb my lie in??? I run in the mornings you see, I like the feeling of being up when the majority of London town is sleeping. I am sure it’s getting darker in the mornings; I am looking forward to earlier sunrises!!! I met a few people that ran the Paris marathon last year, it sounds very scary!!! But it’s too early to be getting scared. I need to focus on running and being fit!!!

I have a 10 mile run to do on Sunday; I will let you know how I get on...

So I signed up to run a marathon last year without really thinking about what a lifestyle change it would be! I have now started training and I am now experiencing what a big change it really is...

I am a twenty something girl, living in London and will be running the Paris marathon this April. I have given up drinking and all bad food including crisp which is like my favorite thing. Over the next few months I will be sharing my thoughts on my struggles to run, not eat bad food and most importantly not drinking. Now I am sober I will also have the added benefit of remember all the funny things people say and do while drunk, this normally doesn’t happen as I have complete memory loss every time I drink.

The strong willpower starts now I guess, I am off for sober drinks with some friends I haven’t seen in a while...
